WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
The artistic technique using a manual method of eyebrow tattooing that creates beautiful, individual hair strokes. The results? Gorgeous, natural looking eyebrows, regardless of the amount of hair present. This technique is not recommended for oily skin as the healed results are not optimal.
WHAT ARE NONO BROWS?
The artistic technique using a PMU machine that creates beautiful, individual hair strokes. The results? Gorgeous, natural looking eyebrows, regardless of the amount of hair present. This technique is suitable for all skin types.
WHAT ARE POWDER BROWS?
Powder brows use only machine shading to create a powdered effect, this technique is great for clients who want a well-defined brow. This technique is ideal for all skin types, especially oily skin with large pores.
WHAT ARE COMBO BROWS?
Combo brows is a combination of either microblading or Nano hair strokes and Ombre brows, the head of the brow will be completed with microblading strokes or Nano hair strokes. This technique is good for clients who prefer well-defined brows and or clients who have dark, patchy brows.
HOW LONG DOES PERMANENT MAKEUP LAST?
The treatment is considered semi-permanent and will not wash off, however, it will fade over time and may need a follow-up every 1-2 years. The frequency of follow-ups depends on several factors including the pigment color used (lighter colors fade faster), lifestyle (sun exposure, sweat), iron deficiency (your body absorbs iron-oxide as a supplement), and if any chemical peels and strong skincare come into contact with treated areas. Please note, that final results cannot be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. The tattooed hair strokes tend to have a more crisp look once healed on dry skin compared to more blurry strokes on oily skin. Your artist will re-evaluate how your skin has retained the pigment at your follow-up appointment and make any changes necessary.
Follow-ups are normal for cosmetic tattoo procedures, which allows us to build up the brows over 2 sessions for greater results. If needed, the initial procedure is followed by a follow-up appointment about 6-12 weeks later.
WHAT IF I HAVE HAD EYEBROW TATTOOING BEFORE?
If you have had your eyebrows done before, please contact us to set up a consultation. This consultation will allow us to determine the proper course of action needed for each client. Your face is my business card, if a mutually desired brow shape or treatment cannot be reached I will not perform the procedure and will refer you to another more qualified artist. If you schedule an appointment without booking a consultation first, you will forfeit your deposit.
DOES MICROBLADING HURT?
A local anesthetic is applied during the service and ensuring your comfort during the appointment is the ULTIMATE GOAL. On a scale from 1-10, most clients rate the service a 2-3 and deem the procedure tolerable headphones and audiobooks are recommended as a distraction and may be brought to your appointment.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR EYEBROW TATTOOS TO HEAL?
Your eyebrows will take approximately 14 days to heal. During that week, we encourage you to let them naturally exfoliate. This means keeping them out of water, sweat, steam, etc. Once the flaking period is complete, your eyebrows will appear lighter and their true color will come out after four weeks. I recommend booking your brow appointment at least 2 weeks before any important events you plan on attending.
HOW LONG IS THE PROCESS?
The appointment usually takes two to three hours, and most of the time is spent going over drawing the shape of your eyebrows and picking the right color to ensure that your eyebrow blading turns out perfect.
CAN I SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION?
The consultation and procedure can be done in the same day, however, you may book a consultation prior to your appointment via the booking link. Consultation is free of charge and can be used to voice any concerns and ask any questions, this can be both physical or via FaceTime or zoom.
IS THIS PERMANENT?
Because the color is implanted into the upper dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off, brows are considered permanent. However, the pigment is implanted more superficially than a traditional tattoo, making it fade over time and requiring future touch-ups.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
Do not work out 48 hours before the procedure.
*Discontinue any use on the face of retinol, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and alpha hydroxyls, as well as any chemical anti-aging exfoliants, eyebrow growth serums, or any "brightening" skin care products at least two to three weeks prior to your microblading procedure. These products thin the skin and do not produce good healed results.
Botox and dermal fillers should be avoided at least two to three weeks prior to the procedure.
Avoid sun and tanning beds at least two weeks before your appointment because when your skin exfoliates a sunburn, it will take the pigment with it.
Do not take any Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Niacin, or Advil within 48 hours of your appointment.
Avoid blood thinning supplements, like garlic, turmeric, vitamin E, and fish oils.
Do not consume alcohol within 24-48 hours before the procedure, and do not consume caffeine the morning of your appointment.
No brow waxing, tinting, or tweezing at least 72 hrs before your appointment, however, you may thread your brows.*
Any skincare products for youth, repair, anti-aging, wrinkles, acne, tone correcting, brightening, etc. are likely to have these ingredients, do not use them anywhere on the face 3-4 weeks prior to procedure.
WILL YOU SHAPE BROWS FIRST?
Yes, we won’t start the process until YOU agree with the color and the shape.
CAN I WEAR MAKEUP AFTER PROCEDURE?
Do not wear makeup on the brows for at least two weeks after your procedure, but everywhere else is fine.
IS THE SECOND APPOINTMENT NECESSARY?
All semi-permanent makeup services will require a 6-8 week perfecting session to perfect and ensure longevity, Failure to book your perfecting session within 6-8 weeks may affect the longevity that you desire. Touch-ups are done no earlier than four weeks after your initial procedure and no later than eight, it is imperative to complete the touch-up treatment. At this session, we assess color retention and make adjustments as necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates, If your results don’t meet your expectations do not worry! We can always go bolder and add more density as well as correct any irregularities in the microbladed hair strokes during the touch-up.
IS THE COST OF MY PERFECTING SESSION INCLUDED IN INITAL PRICE?
No, the follow-up appointment is a separate cost. Not every client needs a follow up and some may need it at a later time than prescribed timeline.
HOW WILL MY EYEBROWS LOOK RIGHT AFTER THE PROCEDURE? DO I NEED TO GO HOME AND HIDE FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS?
Your Eyebrows will appear dark and bold. Don’t be concerned that your eyebrows appear darker and heavier in size than you desire! This is all a part of the healing process. Minor swelling and redness after the procedure is normal. Eyebrows may feel sore and tender.
I HAD THE INITAL PROCEDURE DONE SOMEWHERE ELSE, CAN YOU DO A TOUCH-UP?
If your initial procedure was done elsewhere and you need a touch-up, A consultation must be booked.

WHAT DOES THE DAY TO DAY HEALING LOOK LIKE?
Day 1
You may experience redness however this will subside within a few hours. DO NOT expect your brow tattoos to heal perfectly after the first session. This is a 2 step process. It takes time. BE PATIENT during your 10-day healing process your brows will change and appear different from day to day.Day 2
The pigment in the brow area will appear darker than the initial color of the first day. This is due to oxidation of the pigment and is a normal occurrence.Day 3
The skin in the brow area will begin to scab. You should continue the use of the aftercare cream you were given at the time of your appointment.Day 4-8
The skin in the brow area will continue to scab and eventually shed, It is of utmost importance that you do not pick the scabbing prematurely as this could cause pigment to lift prematurely and/or cause scarring to the service area.Day 9+
The crust should have completely shed and the pigment behind may look very faint. DO NOT WORRY!! The color will return gradually in the days to come. When the flaking sheds, the hair strokes may seem faint as a fresh layer of skin has healed over the brow tattoo. Give your brows a few weeks and the hair strokes will become clearer.Day 10-14
Your brows are healed externally! You may continue to resume washing and makeup in the brow area. As a precaution, you should never chemical peer and/or exfoliate directly over the brows, however your normal skin routine may resume.Post Day 14
*Your brow tattoo will take up to 4 weeks (28 days) to fully heal underneath the skin. Color will continue to change daily until all healing is complete at the 4-week mark.
*You may experience itchiness in the brows after 10 days for up to 2 months due to the healing process of the dermal layer.
WHAT SHOULD I AVOID AFTER THE TREATMENT?
DO NOT expose your brows to the sun during the healing process. UV Rays can alter the pigment in your brows, following the first 10 days SPF is important for the longevity of your brows.
DO NOT sweat excessively for 10 days. Sweat contains salt and can infect and prematurely fade your brow tattoo. Salt in the sweat may also alter the color of your tattoo. Moderate exercise is fine.
DO NOT run direct water on your brows. This is especially important in the first few days, you do not want to wash out any pigment.
DO NOT use Vaseline on your brows/lips.
DO NOT use any makeup, creams, exfoliants on the brows for 10 days.
DO NOT go into saunas, pools, and steam rooms.
DO NOT get massages or facials or skin treatments during the healing process.
DO NOT go tanning, if you do cover your brows, UV rays can alter the color of your brows.
DO not use exfoliants, retinol acids, or AHAs on the brow area. It will fade your tattoo prematurely.
DO NOT use laser light therapy on your brow tattoo. This can darken, lighten, and distort the pigment
*Any skincare products for youth, repair, anti-aging, wrinkles, acne, tone correcting, brightening, etc. are likely to have these ingredients, do not use them anywhere on the face 3-4 weeks prior to procedure.
ONCE HEALED
Results can last anywhere from one to two+ years depending on the client's lifestyle, skin type, and aftercare.
Exposure to the sun and tanning beds can cause fading and discoloration of the eyebrow pigment.
While you’re outdoors, always apply sunscreen to the brows once completely healed.
Maintain removal of unwanted brow hair outside of your shape by tweezing, waxing, threading, or razoring.
Do not laser around the area, as some lasers can change the color of the pigment.
Additional appointments may still be required to achieve your desired look.
For further sun protection, wear hats and sunglasses.
Yearly eyebrow tattoo touch-ups are recommended to maintain your results.
PLEASE NOTE: The results are natural, fuller looking eyebrows. Initially, the brows may appear darker but fade significantly over the first two weeks. Although our cosmetic tattoo artists use premium products and provide exceptional service, all clients heal differently, and many factors lead to varied results. It is crucial to have a microblading touch-up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well your skin will retain the pigment. Due to this and other varying factors, we cannot guarantee your results.
